With the re-organization of Part One finally done and the last scene lettered and blocked out (it’s an epic 13 full pages, which I think makes it the biggest scene so far), I can now get back to producing pages. It’s been nice to have the backlog to fall back on so I can deal with issues like this, but it’s dwindling and my stress is rising.
I’ve got no new art for you this week, but luckily there are a couple people jumping in to cover for me. It’s been very, very cool to be getting all this random art and getting to see the girls done up in so many different styles. Especially so early in the comic’s career! Thanks all.
It’s Charlie as done up by John Peters of Gypsy Girl Press! Secretly I always knew Charlie would look great in his style, so it’s actually kind of awesome that he went and did it without any prodding.
It’s a double Charlie update with another rendition, as done up by Kartoon Kid. This time she’s continuing the pinup theme from a few weeks ago, which is a good theme indeed.
I forgot to do this last week, but it’s time for another Track of the Week!
Saw Deerhoof live last weekend and it was fantastic. They’re a total blast to watch live, whether it’s the way they interact and have a good time, doing little dances, watching the drummer just kill it, and for a few songs started to swap around instruments. They’ve been a favourite band of mine since Apple O’, but I’d never seen them live yet.
